Did you know? We’re now taking bookings through Responsible Travel
Renowned for providing the best sustainable getaways, we’ve chosen Responsible Travel to help us provide you with the best possible booking experience.
Whilst restoring your wellbeing and learning ways to re-centre your mindfulness, on this trip you will also be contributing the responsible travel movement. We’re all guilty of racking up those air miles, but with us you can have a relaxing holiday whilst off-setting those pesky carbon emissions that we sometimes just can’t avoid.
There are certain things along your journey with us that we would like you to get involved with. One of the most simple things that we can do together to reduce our impact upon the local environment is reducing the amount of plastic we use. There will be no single-use plastic items available on this retreat, and we therefore implore to bring along your re-usable water bottles; an essential item when whizzing out and about on our cycling tours.
Further to this, the trip will respect the local area whilst enjoying all that it has to offer. Our trips and walks will be lead by locals of the area who understand how to utilise the local area for all of its natural goodness, whilst also teaching us how to respect and protect it whilst we explore.
Our travel around the local area will also be conscious of our carbon footprint. We will be making great use of our legs, getting out and about mostly by walking and cycling. Where transport is provided, it will be a minibus, as to minimise the amount of traffic of small, untouched areas such as this, which can sometimes be inundated with tourists.
As part of our retreat, we want to benefit the local economy. Not only is all our food and wine sourced from local vendors, we also only employ locals to help us with the smooth running of our little place in Marche. Not only does this benefit the local economy, it is also a credit to our retreat. Not only are our employees an asset by bringing bilingual knowledge, they also very knowledgeable of the land, history and it’s culture, bringing a wealth of understanding to everyone who takes part in our retreats.
Let’s not forget all the trips you’ll be getting to take part in. As much as trips to museums, galleries and historical sights benefits your experiences, it also invests money into what the local area has to offer. We’re not all about sitting in a retreat and doing nothing but, we’re here to help you with a wide variety of enriching experiences.
